A Brief Introduction To The Die Of The Rotary Tablet Press
A fully automatic rotary tablet press is a pharmaceutical machine that compresses powder or granules into tablets, and the most important compression process is done by the die of the tablet press.
A pair of fully automatic tablet press die usually includes three parts: upper punch, middle die and lower punch. The upper and lower punches are similar in structure and cylindrical, and the diameters of the two are the same. The inner diameter of the middle die is the same as the diameter of the upper and lower die. The upper and lower punching dies can slide freely inside the middle die, and the powder inside the middle die will not leak out.
The upper and lower punching dies press and form the powder inside the middle die under the left and right force of the upper pressing wheel and the lower pressing wheel. The distance between the upper and lower dies is the thickness of the tablet. This thickness can usually be adjusted via the machine's handwheel.
Dies can be simply divided into circles and special shapes (including various polygons and curves) according to their shapes. Round is the most common die shape and therefore has a shorter lead time. If special-shaped molds are required, customization is required, drawings are usually required, and the delivery time is also longer.
